How do I make sure I look cool

I want CUVVA to look cool, edgy and innovative!!!!, how do i do that?

I have always found that if you hang out with cool and in the know people it rubs off on you. Well this is my plan which I think translates to; If your business partners with the experts then they will guide you in the right direction.

Well today I was stoked that my business partner when it comes to Art Direction Kindred Design for CUVVA had some exposure on a site that is pretty well publicized in the design community Lost at E Minor . Check out his profile Lost at E Minor.

The future challenge I can see happening is making sure the site design that Webmanage is delivering for CUVVA Is in line with my vision and also Andrew's @ Kindred Design.

I feel lucky enough to have found Kindred Design, especially as they have experience in the Industry that CUVVA is in. see some of their work below

Why Blog

Hi People
I wanted to start a blog to keep all my friends, family, Colleagues and potential business partners up to date on a weekly basis of what I am going through in starting CUVVA.com, I also thought it may help other people that are thinking about doing the same thing as I am; which is essentially build a online community for a subculture of people.

My aim is to take each and everyone of you through the ups and downs of starting a online business, along the way I am hoping to educate you, inspire you and make you laugh.

It all started about 1 year ago, well actually it all started when I was about 12 years of age, I was in year 6 at the time and my parents had not made a decision in what High school I would be going to, I guess the decision was: Send me to a public school and pay nothing or send me to a private school Newington College . The decision was put to me and how it was posted was something like this direct from my fathers mouth "Rob, why don't you choose the school you go to. You can go to Newington College each year or you can go to the public high school The Jannali high and we can travel overseas each year and go skiing" Naturally I chose the education NOT!!! common who do you think I am, an academic??? pff thats not me.

So there I was exposed to the wonders of the northern hemisphere winters for a month each year Loving skiing more than a minted fat kid in a candy store and entrenched as a student at Jannali High where kids held their toilet urges to the end of the day when they were safe in the confinds of their own homes with a fears of getting your head flushed by the older kids if you went and did a number 1 or number 2 in the toilet block.

As each year went by I was exposed to more resorts which led me feeling a calling to pave a career in the snow industry. My first job was a show pony Ski instructor (well I thought it would be that role) at Sunshine Village thanks to the ski school director who showed trust in me to full fill a role in their Ski school as a rookie instructor. After a season on the mountain everyday bruised and battered from trying to huck myself over any jump, drop off or cliff I could find I felt I had the grounding to mix it up with the best Australia had to offer Perisher Blue well Mount Hotham is really the best in Aus but hey what did i know being a kid from NSW not even ever travelling over the boarder unless heading north to Queensland.

Sorry for getting off track but I wanted to feed you the driving force behind me wanting to give up everything (apart from my beautiful wife Kirstyn) and start a online business from scratch. The main reason is that I am passionate about the Snow industry. It reminds me of a classic question my close mates always aske each other; "Hey Rob, what do you like about the Snow? Everything people I mean Everything. The snow is my life I live and breathe it and if you read any " How to become successful books they all clearly state you need to be passionate about what you do as this reflects in the energy you give off when talking about your business, idea, topic, or when you are working on your business, I could literally sit here for the rest of my lfe and work on my business which is about the Snow Community but I am sure Kirstyn would have my nackers and I would go crazy not getting out there and hitting the mountains actually doing what I love to do.

So please stay tuned over over the next couple of years as I will endevour to keep you abreast of all the ups and downs or creating and running an online business. Hopefully this will help you along your journey of what ever that may be.

Over and Out
